Simon the Sheep“Erin’s Farm gave me a fighting chance.” I was found injured and bleeding on someone’s porch, with deep wounds on my neck and body. Erin’s Farm quickly stepped in, stabilized me, and rushed me to Purdue University Veterinary Hospital. Because of Erin’s Farm, I received emergency surgery, IV fluids, antibiotics, pain medication, X-rays, and round-the-clock ICU care while I battled a dangerous infection.
Erin’s Farm never gave up on me. They gave me safety, lifesaving care, and the chance to heal.

The Highway Hens“We were trapped in the heat, but Erin’s Farm helped bring us to safety.” Hundreds of us were left along a highway in extreme heat after crates fell from a transport truck. We were frightened, overcrowded, and many of us were suffering from heat stroke. Erin’s Farm worked with animal control and community members to free us, cool us down, and provide emergency care. More than 100 of us were rescued.
Because Erin’s Farm acted quickly, we were given fresh air, room to move, and the chance to begin again.

Meet Erin
What began as a small apartment-based rescue effort has grown into a 33-acre sanctuary providing lifelong care for hundreds of animals.
Erin Yanz brings more than 20 years of experience in Veterinary Technology and Parasitology, Special Education Teaching, farm-tour management, horsemanship, zookeeping, freshwater and marine aquatics, organic gardening, and the husbandry of reptiles, arachnids, amphibians, birds, and mammals.
Veterinarians, police departments, shelters, animal welfare agencies, and concerned citizens regularly contact Erin for assistance rescuing or placing abused, neglected, abandoned, injured, and at-risk animals.
For Erin, rescue is more than responding to an emergency. It means making a lifelong commitment to each animal and providing the safety, medical attention, enrichment, and compassion they deserve.
